Abstract

Dental proceduresfrequently cause bleeding.Bleeding disorders are systemic problems that havean important place in society. It has no matter thatin which branch practising, the dentist should knowand take the necessary measures about bleedingdisorders. A well directed anamnesis of patientsclues clinician about bleeding tendency and perhapsthe first diagnosis of the disorder. A failed medicalhistory and clinical examination may lead patientsto serious bleeding and potentially fatal shockduring and after dental treatments. This reviewpresents an overview of clinical conditions thatmake up the problem of bleeding and how can adentist treat patients withbleeding problemsreveals.

Abstract

Dental  procedures    frequently cause  bleeding. Bleeding disorders are systemic problems that have an important place in society. It has no matter that in which branch practising, the dentist should know and take the necessary measures about bleeding disorders. A well directed anamnesis of patients clues clinician about bleeding tendency and perhaps the first diagnosis of the disorder. A failed medical history and clinical examination may lead patients to serious bleeding and potentially fatal shock during and after dental treatments. This review presents an overview of clinical conditions that make up the problem of bleeding and how can a dentist treat patients with bleeding problems reveals.

ÖZET

Dişhekimliğinde uygulanan işlemler sıklıkla kanamaya neden olurlar. Kanama yatkınlığı toplumda önemli yer edinmiş sistemik rahatsızlıklardandır. Hangi branş ile ilgili çalışırsa çalışsın dişhekiminin kanama problemleriyle ilgili alması gereken önlemleri bilmesi gereklidir. İyi ve doğru yönlendirilerek alınmış olan anamnez hastanın kanama yatkınlığıyla ilgili ve belki de ilk teşhisin konulmasında önemli ipuçları verir. İyi bir anamnez alınmadan ve klinik muayene yapılmadan gerçekleştirilen dental tedaviler sonrası ve sırasında kanama eğilimi olan hastalarda şok ve ölümle sonuçlanabilecek ciddi kanamalar gelişebilir. Bu derleme kanama problemi oluşturan klinik durumlara genel bir bakış açısı sunmakta ve dişhekiminin kanama problemi olan hastaları nasıl bir yaklaşımla tedavi edebileceğini ortaya koymaktadır.

CDJ is an international journal dedicated to the latest advancement of dentistry. The aim of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of dentistry. First issue of the Journal of Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Dentistry was published in 1998. In 2010, journal's name was changed as Cumhuriyet Dental Journal. Journal’s publication language is English.


CDJ accepts articles in English. Submitting a paper to CDJ is free of charges. In addition, CDJ has not have article processing charges.
