Prof. Dr. Wei Cheong NGEOW Universiti Malaya Malaysia

Professor Dr. Wei Cheong Ngeow is among the few Sabah born lecturers working at the University of Malaya. He is currently a lecturer at the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Clinical Sciences, Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Malaya. He was a visiting professor at the University of California, San Francisco in 2015/2016, and is an associate alumnus of Harvard University. He graduated from the University of Malaya in 1992 and was a private practitioner for 9 months before he was offered the post of tutorship at his alma matter. Three years later, he became a Senior House Officer at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, England, where he obtained his Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He subsequently returned to Malaysia and was a pioneer lecturer at the then newly established Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He later became a lecturer at the University of Malaya since 2000. He has published 11 book chapters, 28 articles and 214 scientific papers. He was listed in World’s Top 2% Scientists 2022 and 2024, report by Stanford University. He has been the invited speaker in 182 events/programs and have organized and given lectures in 48 implant courses.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alessandro LEİTE CAVALCANTİ State University of Paraiba Brazil
Dr Alessandro Leite Cavalcanti received his M.S. in Paediatric Dentistry in 1997 at the University of Sao Paulo (USP) Brazil. He received his PhD in Stomatology at the Federal University of Paraiba in 2002. He has been a postdoctoral scientist at the School of Dentistry of the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Belo Horizonte, Brazil in 2014. In 2016 he was promoted to Associate Professor. Moreover, Dr. Cavalcanti holds a research productivity scholarship (Level 2) from CNPq, a Brazilian funding agency. Dr Cavalcanti has been Professor of the Public Health Dentistry Discipline at the State University of Paraiba since 2002, where he teaches both undergraduate and graduate dental students. In the postgraduate course, he also teaches about dental research and manuscript writing. He is Editor in Chief of a Brazilian Research in Pediatric Dentistry and Integrated Clinic Journal. At the moment Dr Cavalcanti is member of the board of the IADR - International Association for Dental Research. His areas of research are Epidemiology, Forensic Dentistry and Public Health. He has published over 300 articles in peer-reviewed Brazilian and international journals.

Cumhuriyet Dental Journal (Cumhuriyet Dent J, CDJ) is the official publication of Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Dentistry. CDJ is an international journal dedicated to the latest advancement of dentistry. The aim of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of dentistry. First issue of the Journal of Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Dentistry was published in 1998. In 2010, journal's name was changed as Cumhuriyet Dental Journal. Journal’s publication language is English.


CDJ accepts articles in English. Submitting a paper to CDJ is free of charges. In addition, CDJ has not have article processing charges.

Frequency: Four times a year (March, June, September, and December)
