Abstract

Passive fitting implant supported prosthesis is the key for a successful treatment. In order to achieve a passive fit prosthesis, it is very important to get an accurate impression. Factors affecting the accuracy of such impressions include: Impression technique, splinting or not splinting the impression copings, implant angulation, the number of implants, dimensional stability of the impression material, the setting expansion of stone, and the design and rigidity of the impression tray are the factors that affect the accuracy of implant impressions. Inaccurate impressions may result in both mechanical and biological complications such as screw loosening, screw fracture, increase of plaque accumulation, loss of osteointegration and even in implant fracture. The purpose of this review is to evaluate different impression techniques and materials and to discuss the clinical factors including angulation and number of implants that affect accuracy of the implant impressions

Öz

ÖZET

İmplant destekli protezlerde başarılı bir tedavinin anahtarı pasif oturan protetik restorasyonlardır. Bunu elde etmek için, doğru bir ölçü alınması oldukça önemlidir. Ölçü tekniği, ölçü kopinglerinin splintlenmesi veya splintlenmemesi, implantların açıları, implant sayıları, ölçü materyallerinin boyutsal stabilitesi, alçının sertleşme sırasındaki genleşmesi ve ölçü kaşığının tasarım ve rijiditesi ölçünün doğruluğunu etkileyen faktörlerdir. Hatalı alınan bir ölçü ve buna bağlı olarak imlant komponentleri arasında meydana gelen uyumsuzluk, vida gevşemesi veya kırığı, plak akümülasyonunda artış, osteointegrasyon kaybı, implant kırığı gibi hem mekanik hem de biyolojik komplikasyonları meydana getirebilmektedir. Bu derlemenin amacı, implant destekli protezlerin fabrikasyonunda kullanılan farklı ölçü teknikleri, ölçü materyalleri ile implant açısı ve sayısı gibi klinik faktörlerin ölçünün doğruluğuna etkilerinin tartışılmasıdır.
