All anterior teeth present in the mouth were scored for incisal tooth wear (ITW) according to the criteria based on the Tooth Wear Index of Smith and Knight. Data were analyzed using Chi Square tests. Results: The prevalence of bruxism awareness was %33,9. No association was found between bruxism and age, medical problem, mother’s educational status, family income and brushing before bedtime. The analysis of data showed a significant correlation between the bruxism and incisal tooth wear, tooth brushing frequency, father’s educational status and gender. Conclusions: Bruxism in this dentistry students group appears to be common. As a conclusion, it is difficult to diagnose bruxism due to subjective findings. ITW is considered as an objective finding, therefore it is very valuable in the diagnosis of bruxism
