Rejeneratif Pulpa Tedavilerine Genel Bir Bakış

Öz

Son 10 yıl içerisinde, kök hücre biyolojisi ve doku mühendisliği üzerine yapılan çalışmalar diş hekimliği alanını olumlu bir yönde etkilemiştir. Rejeneratif endodontik tedavinin amacı, sağlıklı ve fonksiyonel bir dentin-pulpa komplesinin yeniden oluşturulmasıdır. Mineral trioksit agregat (MTA) gibi başarı gösteren materyallerin ve doku mühendisliği konseptlerinin kullanılması ile kök gelişimini tamamlamamış nekroze dişlerin kök-çevre doku gelişimlerinin devam etmesi mümkün olmuştur. Kök hücreler ile yapılan çalışmalarda umut vaat eden sonuçlar elde edilmiş olup halen diş-çevre dokularının rejenerasyonunda olumlu gelişmeler kaydedilmektedir. Kök hücrelerin kullanımı etik olarak sorgulandığından, bu materyallerin klinik olarak etkisi henüz bilinmemektedir. Bu derleme çalışmasında, rejeneratif endodontik tedavi yöntemi, kullanılan materyaller ve bu alandaki güncel gelişmeler detaylı olarak ele alınmaktadır.
