Abstract

ABSTRACT
Spindle cell melanoma, a rare morphological subtype of malignant melanoma, is a potentially aggressive neoplasm of melanocytic origin. It commonly occurs on the skin and rarely manifests in the head and neck region especially in the oral cavity and has varied clinical presentations. It is of diagnostic challenge especially to dentists and tumor size, metastases, special laboratory diagnostic tests are required to assess the prognosis, overall survival rate. This comprehensive case report analyzes a middle aged female patient diagnosed with an oral spindle cell melanoma variant, exploring its unique histopathological characteristics, diagnostic challenges, and potential treatment strategies.
