Diş Hekimliği Öğrencilerinde Tükenmişlik Derecesi ve Endodonti Preklinik Akademik Başarısı ile İlişkisinin Değerlendirilmesi

Öz

Amaç: Mevcut çalışmanın amacı diş hekimliği fakültesinde eğitim gören lisans öğrencilerinin tükenmişlik seviyelerini belirlemek ve bu durumun endodonti preklinik uygulamalı dersindeki başarı durumları arasındaki ilişkiyi varlığını incelemektir.
Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırmamıza katılmaya gönüllü olan 61 öğrenci çalışmaya dahil edildi. Katılımcıların sosyodemografik veri formu, Maslach Tükenmişlik Ölçeği (MTÖ) verileri kayıt edildi. Ayrıca öğrencilerin endodonti preklinik akademik başarı puanları (ABP) elde edildi. Katılımcılar akademik başarı puanlarına göre düşük akademik başarı gösterenler ve yüksek akademik başarı gösterenler olarak ikiye ayrıldı.
Bulgular: Düşük akademik başarı gösteren grubun hem MTÖ toplam skorlarının hem de duygusal tükenme alt ölçek skorlarının yüksek akademik başarı gösteren gruptan yüksek olduğu bulundu (sırasıyla p= 0,05 ve 0,03). Katılımcıların ABP ve MTÖ skorları arasındaki ilişkinin incelendiğinde duygusal tükenme alt ölçeği ile ABP arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu bulundu (r= -0,26, p<0,05). Oluşturulan regresyon modelinde duygusal tükenmenin ABP üzerine etkisi olduğu saptandı.
Sonuç: Mevcut çalışmada diş hekimliği fakültesi 3. Sınıf öğrencilerinin tükenmişlik seviyelerinin preklinik akademik başarıyı olumsuz etkilediği bulundu.
