Objectives: It was aimed to determine the distally migrated teeth from patients living Southeast Anatolian Region and discuss their treatment choices

Materials and Methods: The present study was performed by retrospectively investigating panoramic radiographies of the 10234 patients referred to Gaziantep University, Department of Oral And Maxillofacial Radiology between 2008 and 2010 years. Radiographically impacted teeth and distally migrated teeth from the original side were recorded. The wisdom teeth were not included in this study.

Results: The frequency of the distally migrated teeth was found as 0.019 percent. Two cases were recorded as distally migration, one of them was left mandibular canine and the other was right mandibular first premolar tooth.

Conclusions: Distal migration events are rarely seen dental anomalies than mesial migrations and transmigrations.

Anahtar Kelime: Distal migrasyon, panoramik radyografi, retrospektif çalışma.
