Güncel Literatür Işığında Temporomandibular Eklem Rahatsızlıklarında Kullanılan Görüntüleme Yöntemleri

Öz

Başın tek hareketli eklemi olan temporomandibular
eklem, vücudumuzda bulunan en karmaşık eklemlerden birisidir. Temporomandibular
eklem bozuklukları günümüzde geniş bir populasyonu etkileyen patolojik
değişikliklerdir.

iski, mandibular kondil ve artiküler
eminenste meydana gelen bu bozukluklar ağrı, ağız açmada kısıtlılık, eklemden
ses gelmesi gibi belirtilerle ortaya çıkar. Temporomandibular eklem bozukluklarının
tanısında; hastanın şikayetleri ve klinik muayene önemlidir. Ayrıca teşhis,
prognoz ve tedavi yönteminin belirlenmesi için çeşitli görüntüleme
yöntemlerinden de yararlanılır. Temporomandibular eklemi görüntülemede direkt
radyografiler, kinetik x-ışını görüntüleme, artrografi, konvansiyonel
tomografi, bilgisayarlı tomografi, konik ışınlı bilgsayarlı tomografi,
ultrasonografi, nükleer tıp ve manyetik rezonans gibi görüntüleme yöntemleri
kullanılabilir. Günümüzde temporomandibular eklemin yumuşak doku
değerlendirmesinde manyetik rezonans görüntüleme, kemik doku değerlendirmesinde
konik ışınlı bilgisayarlı tomografi sıklıkla kullanılmaktadır.

Imaging Modalities for Temporomandibular Joint Disorders in the Light of Current Literature

Öz

Abstract



Temporomandibular joint that
is one of the complicated joint in the body is unique movable joint in the
cranium. Temporomandibular joint disorders that influenced large population
today are pathologic changes. These disorders, which occur in the joint disc,
mandibular condyle and articular eminence, appeared with symptoms such as pain,
restriction during the mouth opening and joint sounds. The patient's complaints
and clinical examination are important for determination of temporomandibular
joint disorders. Besides, several imaging methods are used to diagnose,
prognosis and management temporomandibular joint disorders. Imaging of the
temporomandibular joint is used several imaging modalities such as direct
radiography, digital fluoroscopy, arthrography, conventinal tomography, cone
beam computed tomography, ultrasonography, scintigraphy and magnetic resonance.
Today, magnetic resonance imaging is used to evaluate soft tissue of the
temporomandibular joint, cone beam computed tomography is used to evaluate hard
tissue of the temporomandibular joint frequently.
