Polyetheretherketone (Peek) in Dentistry

Öz

İnorganik malzemeler ile takviye edilmiş PEEK potansiyel olarak kuron ve köprü malzemesi olarak kullanılabilir (26). Diş Hekimliğinde; implant ve abutment, implant destekli protezlerde bar, sabit protezlerde alt yapı, parsiyel hareketli protezler uygulamalarında ana bağlayıcı, hassas tutucu, kroşe ve diğer parçaların elde edilmesinde kullanılmaktadır . Cekic-Nagas ve ark. 54 farklı inley materyallerinin kırılma dayanımını değerlendirdikleri çalışmada; fiberle güçlendirmenin köprülerin kırılma dayanımını arttırdığı ve CAD-CAM fiber blok ile PEEK materyalinden yapılan inley tutuculu köprülerin yüksek kırılma dayanımı değerleri sergilediği görülmüştür. Ayrıca PEEK materyalinin oklüzal splint uygulamalarında alternatif bir terapötik seçenek olarak kullanılabileceği yapılan çalışmalarda gösterilmiştir
