Diş hekimliği pratiğinde çapraz enfeksiyon kontrolü: Hasta tutum ve duyarlılığının incelenmesi

Öz

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, Yeditepe Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi’ne başvuran hastaların çapraz enfeksiyon kontrolü konusundaki tutum ve duyarlılığını değerlendirmektir.

Gereç ve Yöntem: 1-30 Aralık 2010 tarihleri arasında Yeditepe Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi’ne tedavi nedeniyle başvuran 277’si kadın ve 173’ü erkek olmak kaydıyla toplam 450 hastaya, çapraz enfeksiyon kontrolü konusundaki sorulardan oluşan anket formları dağıtıldı. Hastalara, dental işlemler sırasında diş hekimlerinin eldiven, maske, bone ve koruyucu gözlük kullanım gerekliliği, bunların değiştirilme ve yenilenme şartları ve tedavi öncesi enfeksiyon kontrol yöntemleri ile ilgili sorular soruldu. Tanımlayıcı istatistiksel metodlar ve Ki-Kare testi kullanılarak veriler analiz edildi. Anlamlılık p<0,05 düzeyinde değerlendirildi.

Bulgular: Yaş ortalaması 37,70 olan hastaların %100’ünün eldiven, %98,9’unun maske, %74’ünün bone ve %67,1’inin koruyucu gözlük giyilmesini bekledikleri görüldü. Kadınların hastalara da koruyucu gözlük takılmasının gerekli olduğu düşünme oranlarının (%50,5), erkeklerden anlamlı şekilde yüksek olduğu (%37,6) belirlendi (p<0,05). Kadınların, her hastada maske değiştirilmesi gerektiğini düşünenlerin (%65), erkeklerden anlamlı düzeyde yüksek olduğu bulundu (%53,2) (p<0,05). Kadınların %31,4 oranında ‘koruyucu gözlük sadece gerekli ise değiştirilmeli’ dediği belirlenirken, erkeklerin %30,1 oranında ‘bu konuda fikrim yok’ dediği görüldü.

Sonuç: Yeditepe Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi’ne belirli bir dönemde başvuran sınırlı sayıdaki hasta grubu, çapraz enfeksiyon kontrolü konusunda duyarlıdır.

Cumhuriyet Dental Journal (Cumhuriyet Dent J, CDJ) is the official publication of Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Dentistry. CDJ is an international journal dedicated to the latest advancement of dentistry. The aim of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of dentistry. First issue of the Journal of Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Dentistry was published in 1998. In 2010, journal's name was changed as Cumhuriyet Dental Journal. Journal’s publication language is English.


CDJ accepts articles in English. Submitting a paper to CDJ is free of charges. In addition, CDJ has not have article processing charges.
