Pulp vitality is extremely important for the toothviability, since it provides nutrition and acts asbiosensor to detect pathogeni stimuli. Treatment ofthe young permanent tooth with a necrotic rootcanal system and an incompletely developed root isvery difficult. Few acceptable results have beenachieved through apexification but use of long-termcalcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)) might alter themechanical properties of dentin. Regenerativeendodontic procedures, aims at the regeneration ofpulp and dentin of the injured teeth. The presentarticle reviews the recent approach of regenerationof pulp and its methods.
