Öz

Kaybedilen diş dokusunun yerine konulmasında metal destekli seramik restorasyonlar, geçmişten günümüze başarıyla kullanılmaktadır. Ancak hastaların estetik restoratif malzemelere olan ilgilerinin artması ile birlikte, metal destekli seramik restorasyonlar yerlerini hızla daha estetik olan restoratif malzemelere bırakmaktadır [1].

Tam seramik restorasyonlar metal destekli seramik restorasyonlar ile karşılaştırıldığında daha üstün estetik özelliklere sahiptir [2, 3]. Bununla beraber mükemmel biyouyumluluk, düşük plak tutulumu, periodontal dokularda daha az hasar oluşturma potansiyeli ve metal alt yapının kullanılmaması ile daha az alerji oluşturma riskine sahiptirler [4, 5].

Uzun zamanlar başarıları tam olarak kanıtlanmış restoratif tekniklere alternatif olarak hergün yeni teknikler geliştirilmektedir. Materyalin kuvvetlendirilmesi amacıyla porselen yapısı değişikliğe uğramakta ve daha dayanıklı porselen materyalleri geliştirilmektedir. Zirkonyum gren çapının düşük olması ve yüksek gerilme direncine sahip olması nedenli diş hekimliğinde porselen materyali içerisinde kullanılmaya başlanmıştır.

Cumhuriyet Dental Journal (Cumhuriyet Dent J, CDJ) is the official publication of Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Dentistry. CDJ is an international journal dedicated to the latest advancement of dentistry. The aim of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of dentistry. First issue of the Journal of Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Dentistry was published in 1998. In 2010, journal's name was changed as Cumhuriyet Dental Journal. Journal’s publication language is English.


CDJ accepts articles in English. Submitting a paper to CDJ is free of charges. In addition, CDJ has not have article processing charges.

Frequency: Four times a year (March, June, September, and December)
