Cochlear Symptoms and Audiologıc Findings in Vestibular Disorders: Review

Year 2018, Volume: 1 Issue: 1, 57 - 62, 13.08.2018

Abstract

Disturbances affecting the inner ear and vestibulocochlear nerve
can cause dizziness, vertigo, tinnitus and hearing loss (1). The anatomical and
physiological similarities between cochlear and vestibular end organs;
explained that
there
is a relationship between
hearing loss and vestibular disorders. Because of the close association of
cochlea and vestibular system the disorder seen in one of these systems may
cause damage to the other (2). In this review article, it is aimed to present
the cochlear symptoms and audiological findings seen in vestibular diseases
according to the current literature results.

Vestibüler Hastalıklarda Koklear Semptomlar Ve Odyolojik Bulgular: Gözden Geçirme

Year 2018, Volume: 1 Issue: 1, 57 - 62, 13.08.2018

Abstract

İç kulak ve
vestibulokoklear siniri etkileyen bozukluklarda
baş dönmesi, vertigo, kulak çınlaması ve işitme kaybı görülebilmektedir
(1).
olabilmektedir (2). Bu gözden geçirme yazısında, vestibüler hastalıklarda
görülen koklear semptomların ve odyolojik bulguların, güncel literatür
sonuçları doğrultusunda sunulması amaçlanmıştır.
