Hemşirelik Öğrencilerinde Klasik ve Senaryo Temelli Etik Eğitiminin Etkinlik Düzeyinin ve Etik Duyarlılığın İncelenmesi
Abstract
Amaç: Bu çalışma, hemşirelik öğrencilerinde klasik ve senaryo temelli etik eğitiminin etkinlik düzeyinin ve etik duyarlılığın incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır.
Yöntem: Araştırma, tek grupta ön test-ara test-son test deneme modeli ile yapılmış olup, 100 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler, “Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu”, “Hemşirelikte Etik Eğitiminin Etkinliğini Değerlendirme Ölçeği” ve “Hemşirelik Öğrencileri İçin Uyarlanmış Etik Duyarlılık Ölçeği” kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Çalışmada, bir ders döneminin yarısına kadar hemşirelikte etik konuları içeren klasik eğitim verilmiş olup diğer yarısında ise etik karar vermeyi somutlaştırmak ve akılda kalıcılığı artırmak için yüz yüze vaka tartışmaları yapılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, yüzdelik dağılımlar, ortalama ve standart sapma kullanılmıştır. Normal dağılıma sahip olmayan değişkenlerin iki grupta karşılaştırılmasında Mann Whitney U testi, ikiden fazla grupta karşılaştırılmasında ise Kruskal Wallis testleri kullanılmıştır. Normal dağılıma uygun olan ölçek puanlarına ilişkin grupların zaman içerisinde testlerdeki değişimi bağımlı gruplarda t testi (Paired Samples t Test) ve tekrarlı ölçümlerde ANOVA (Repeated Measures) kullanılarak test edilmiştir. Ayrıca, ölçeklerin güvenilirliğini değerlendirmek için Cronbach Alfa katsayısı hesaplanmıştır.
Bulgular: Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin etik duyarlılık ölçeğinin toplam puanı klasik+senaryo temelli eğitim sonrası, klasik eğitimden daha yüksek çıkarak istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur (p=0,001). Etik dersi almadan önce kız öğrencilerin etik duyarlılık ölçeği puanı erkek öğrencilere göre anlamlı derecede yüksek çıkmıştır (p<0,001).
Sonuç: Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin etik duyarlılığı, klasik+senaryo temelli eğitim sonrasında daha yüksek çıkmıştır. Dersin işlenişinde kullanılan her iki yöntem başarılı bulunmuş olup her iki eğitim de etkin bir şekilde verilmiştir.

Investigation of the Effectiveness Level of Classical and Scenario-Based Ethics Education and Ethical Sensitivity in Nursing Students
Abstract
Objective: This study was conducted to examine the effectiveness level of classical and scenario-based ethics education and ethical sensitivity in nursing students.
Methods: The study was conducted by a pre-test, mid-test, and post-test model in a single group and was conducted with 100 students. The data were collected using the "Introductory Information Form", "The Effectiveness of Ethics Education in Nursing for Scale" and "Modified Moral Sensitivity Questionnaire for Student Nurses”. The study provided classical training, including ethical subjects in nursing for up to half of a period of study, and face-to-face case discussions in the other half aimed at concretizing ethical decision-making and increasing memorability. In the analysis of data, percentage distributions, mean and standard deviation were used. The Mann-Whitney U test was used to compare the non-normally distributed variables in two groups, and the Kruskal-Wallis test was used to compare more than two groups. The change of the groups in the tests over time regarding the scale scores that are suitable for normal distribution was tested using the Paired Samples t Test and Repeated Measures. In addition, Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient was calculated to evaluate the reliability of the scales.
Results: The total score of the ethical sensitivity scale of nursing students were higher after classical + scenario-based education than classical education and a statistically significant difference was found (p=0.001). Before taking the ethics course, the ethical sensitivity scale scores of female students were significantly higher than those of male students (p< 0.001).
Conclusion: Ethical sensitivity of nursing students was higher after classical+scenario-based education. Both methods used in the teaching of the course were found to be successful and both trainings were given effectively.
