Periodontoloji Kliniğine Başvuran Hastaların Periodontal Durumlarının, Sistemik Hastalıklarının ve Kişisel Alışkanlıklarının Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Necmettin Erbakan Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi Periodontoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda cerrahi olmayan periodontal tedavileri yapılan bireylerin periodontal durumları ile sistemik hastalık ve kişisel alışkanlıkları arasındaki ilişkinin değerlendirilmesidir.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Çalışmaya 289’u erkek, 510’u kadın olmak üzere toplam 799 birey dahil edildi. Hasta formlarına kaydedilmiş olan demografik veriler, medikal ve dental anamnezler, sigara kullanımı, sistemik durum bilgileri ile klinik periodontal parametreleri değerlendirildi. Periodontal durumlarına göre gingivitis (G) ve periodontitis (P) olmak üzere hastalar iki gruba ayrıldı. Oluşturulan grupların periodontal klinik parametreleri (gingival indeks, plak indeksi ve sondalamada kanama indeksi), sistemik hastalıkları, yaş, cinsiyet ve kişisel alışkanlıkları değerlendirildi. P<0.05 istatistiksel olarak anlamlı kabul edildi. Bulgular: Gingivitisli bireylerin yaş ortalaması 39.55±15.15, periodontitisli bireylerin yaş ortalaması 48.51±11.16 idi. Periodontitis grubunda periodontal parametre değerleri daha yüksekti (p<0.05). Yaş, cinsiyet, eğitim durumu ve beden kitle indeksi açısından gingivitisli ve periodontitisli gruplar arasında anlamlı farklılık vardı (p<0.05). Çalışmaya dahil edilen bireylerde sistemik hastalık oranı %86.2 idi. Sonuç: Hastalardan alınan anamnez bilgileri ve yapılan klinik ölçümler periodontal hastalıkların teşhis ve tedavisinde oldukça öneme sahiptir. Hastalar taşıdıkları risk faktörleri açısından bilgilendirilmeli ve tedavi planlamasında bu faktörler dikkate alınmalıdır.
