Yorgunluk, Periodontal Hastalık ve Ağız Sağlığı ile İlgili Yaşam Kalitesi Arasında İlişkinin Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, yorgunluk, periodontal hastalık ve ağız sağlığı ile ilgili yaşam kalitesi arasında ilişkiyi değerlendirmektir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya 90 hasta katıldı ve hastalar rutin periodontal muayene sonuçlarına göre: periodontal sağlıklı, gingivitis ve periodontitis olmak üzere 3 gruba ayrıldı. Katılımcıların sosyodemografik verileri, sigara içme durumları ve oral hijyen alışkanlıkları sorgulandı. Yorgunluk seviyelerinin değerlendirilmesi için çok boyutlu yorgunluk değerlendirilme ölçeği (ÇBYDÖ), ağızla ilişkili yaşam kalitelerinin değerlendirilmesi için ise Ağız Sağlığının Günlük Aktivitelere Etkisi (OIDP) anketinden yararlanıldı. Elde edilen sonuçlar p<0,05 anlamlılık düzeylerine göre istatistiksel olarak analiz edildi. Bulgular: Periodontitisli katılımcıların yaş ortalamasının diğer katılımcılardan istatistiksel olarak anlamlı miktarda daha fazla olduğu görüldü (p<0,05). Toplam OIDP skorlarında gruplar arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olamamakla birlikte en düşük ağızla ilgili yaşam kalitesi (OHRQoL) periodontitisli grupta, en yüksek ise gingival sağlıklı grupta izlendi. Ağız temizliği, uyuma ve rahatlama durumlarında ise periodontitisli grupta istatistiksel olarak anlamlı miktarda daha düşük OHRQoL görüldü (p<0,05). ÇBYDÖ analizinde, periodantal sağlıklı grupta, diğer gruplara göre daha yüksek skorlar elde edildi (p<0,05). Sonuç: Çalışmamızda OIDP ve gingival indeks (Gİ) arasında pozitif bir korelasyon olduğu, periodontitisin OHRQoL’yi olumsuz olarak etkilediği, periodontitisli bireylerin yaş ortalamasının, periodontal sağlıklı ve gingivitisli bireylerden daha yüksek olduğu, gingival sağlıklı bireylerin yorgunluk skorlarının daha yüksek olduğu görüldü.
