Farklı sodyum perborat tiplerinin endodontik olarak tedavi edilmiş ve kompozit ile restore edilmiş dişlerin kırılma direnci üzerine etkisi

Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate fracture resistance of endodontically treated premolars after intracoronal bleaching treatment with various types of sodium perborate (SP).

Material and Methods: Eighty extracted human premolars with intact crowns were used. Following obturation with gutta-percha and a root canal sealer, the coronal aspects of the root canal fillings were covered with a 2 mm thickness protective base placed to a level 2 mm apical to the labial cemento-enamel junction (CEJ). The teeth were randomly divided into eight groups including ten teeth each. Bleaching agents were placed in the pulp chamber of the teeth and sealed with Cavit for 3 and 7 days as follows; Group 1:SP monohydrate (MH) + water, Group 2: SP trihydrate (TRH) + water, Group 3: SP tetrahydrate (TH) + water, Group 4: SP-MH + hydrogen peroxide (HP), Group 5: SP-TRH + HP, Group 6: SP-TH + HP, Group 7: HP, Group 8: water. After bleaching treatment, the teeth were restored with composite and were mounted with their roots embedded in autopolymerized acrylic. Then teeth were tested in a universal testing machine.

Results: Sodium perborate types mixed with water showed higher fracture resistance when compared to the types mixed with hydrogen peroxide.

Conclusion: The data obtained from this study demonstrates that all bleaching agents have an effect on fracture resistance of endodontically treated premolars after intracoronal bleaching treatment with various types of sodium perborate.

 

ÖZET

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı endodontik olarak tedavi edilmiş premolar dişlerin, farklı sodyum perborat (SP) tipleri ile intrakoronal ağartma tedavisinden sonra kırılma direncinin

değerlendirilmesidir.

Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu çalışmada 80 adet çekilmiş insan premolar dişi kullanıldı. Güta perka ve bir kök kanal dolgu patı ile kök kanallarının doldurulmasını takiben, kök kanal dolgusu üzerine labial mine-sement birleşiminin 2 mm apikalinde, 2 mm kalınlığında bir kaide materyali yerleştirildi. Dişler her biri 10 adet diş içerecek şekilde rasgele olarak 8 gruba ayrıldı. Ağartma ajanları dişlerin pulpa odalarına 3-7 gün için yerleştirildi ve giriş kaviteleri Cavit ile kapatıldı: Grup 1:SP monohidrat (MH) + su, Grup 2: SP trihidrat (TRH) + su, Grup 3: SP tetrahidrat (TH) + su, Grup 4: SP-MH + hidrojen peroksit (HP), Grup 5: SP-TRH + HP, Grup 6: SP-TH + HP, Grup 7: HP, Grup 8: su. Ağartma tedavisinden sonra dişler kompozit ile restore edildi ve otopolimerizan akriliğe gömüldü. Daha sonra dişler üniversal test cihazında test edildi.

Bulgular: Su ile karıştırılan sodyum perborat tipleri, hidrojen peroksit ile karıştırılanlar ile kıyaslandığında daha yüksek kırılma direnci gösterdi.

Sonuç: Bu çalışmanın sonuçları; farklı sodyum perborat tiplerinin intrakoronal ağartma tedavisinden sonra endodontik olarak tedavi edilen premolar dişlerin kırılma direnci üzerinde bir etkiye sahip olduğunu gösterdi.

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı endodontik olarak tedavi edilmiş premolar dişlerin, farklı sodyum perborat (SP) tipleri ile intrakoronal ağartma tedavisinden sonra kırılma direncinin değerlendirilmesidir.Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu çalışmada 80 adet çekilmiş insan premolar dişi kullanıldı.
