Kadın Ofis Çalışanlarında Q Açısı ile Alt Ekstremite Kas Kuvveti, Fiziksel Aktivite Düzeyi ve Antropometrik Ölçümler Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Çalışmanın amacı kadın ofis çalışanlarında kuadriseps (Q) açısı ile alt ekstremite kas kuvveti, fiziksel aktivite düzeyi ve antropometrik ölçümler arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Çalışmaya 50 ofis çalışanı kadın dahil edildi. Sosyodemografik veriler kaydedildi. Q açısı gonyometre ile ölçüldü. Alt ekstremite kas kuvveti ölçümü için 30 saniye otur-kalk testi uygulandı. Fiziksel aktivite düzeylerini belirlemek için Uluslararası Fiziksel Aktivite Anketi (UFAA) kısa formu kullanıldı. Antropometrik ölçümlerden boy uzunluğu, vücut ağırlığı, bel ve kalça çevresi ölçüldü. Bel kalça oranı ve vücut kitle indeksi (VKİ) hesaplandı. Katılımcıların yaş ortalamaları 38,18±7,20 idi. Fiziksel aktivite düzeyi bakımından %50’si inaktif, %40’ı minimal aktif ve %10’u çok aktif idi. Q açısı ile alt ekstremite kas kuvveti arasında negatif yönde orta düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişki vardı (r =-0,650; p<0,001). Katılımcıların Q açısı ile fiziksel aktivite düzeyi toplam puanı arasında negatif yönde ve oturma puanı arasında pozitif yönde orta düzeyde anlamlı ilişki vardı (p<0,05). UFAA sınıflaması sonrası fiziksel aktivite düzeyi grupları incelendiğinde Q açısı inaktif grupta daha yüksek bulundu (p=0,014). Q açısı ile VKİ, bel ve kalça çevresi arasında pozitif yönde orta düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişki vardı (p<0,05). Kadın ofis çalışanlarında düşük fiziksel aktivite düzeyi, azalmış alt ekstremite kas kuvveti, VKİ ve bel, kalça çevresindeki artış Q açısında artışa neden olabilir.

Investigation of the Relationship Between Q Angle, Lower Extremity Muscle Strength and Physical Activity Level and Anthropometric Measurements in Female Office Workers

Abstract

The aim of the study was to investigate the relationship between quadriceps (Q) angle and lower limb muscle strength, physical activity level, and anthropometric measurements in female office workers. Fifty office worker women were included in the study. Sociodemographic data were recorded. The Q angle was measured by a goniometer. 30-second sit-to-stand test was applied to measure the muscle strength of the lower extremities. The short form of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) was used to assess physical activity levels. Anthropometric measurements consist of height length, body weight, waist, and hip circumference were measured. Waist-hip ratio and body mass index (BMI) were calculated. The mean age of the participants was 38.18±7.20 years. According to physical activity measurements 50% were inactive, 40% were minimally active and 10% were very active, respectively. There was a negative moderate correlation between Q angle and lower limb muscle strength (r =-0.650; p<0.001). There was a negative moderate level correlation between the Q angle and the total score of the physical activity level and a positive moderate level correlation between the sitting score (p<0.05). When the groups were compared in terms of Q angle by physical activity level, the score was found to be higher in the inactive group (p=0.014). There was a moderately significant positive relationship between Q angle and BMI, waist, and hip circumference (p<0.05). In female office workers, low physical activity level, decreased lower extremity muscle strength, BMI and increase in waist and hip circumference might cause an increase in Q angle.
