Oral ve Maksillofasiyal Cerrahide Distraksiyon Osteogenezisi Literatürünün Bibliyometrik Analizi (1992–2020)
Abstract
Amaç: Maksillofasiyal bölgedeki birçok kemik defekti, distraksiyon osteogenezisi (DO) ile yeniden yapılandırılabilir. Son otuz yılda, DO protokolünün geliştirilmesi için çok sayıda araştırma yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, 1992'den 2021'e kadar maksillofasiyal bölgede distraksiyon osteogenezisi ile ilgili yayınların karakterizasyonu için bibliyometrik bir analiz yapmaktı.
Gereç ve Yöntemler: 15 Ocak 2021 tarihinde Web of Science veri tabanından yayın çıktıları alınmıştır. Analiz ve görselleştirmelerde Citespace, Excel ve VOSviewer yazılımları kullanılmıştır.
Bulgular: 1992'den 2020'ye kadar toplam 1826 yayın analiz edildi. DO literatürüne toplam 59 ülke katkıda bulunmuştur. Amerika Birleşik Devletleri en fazla yayına ve en yüksek H indeksine sahipti. McCarthy JG, en yüksek ortak atıf yazarıydı. Çalışmalar genel olarak 12 başlık altında toplanmıştır.
Sonuç: Sonuç olarak bu çalışmada, ağız ve çene cerrahisinde distraksiyon osteogenezisi ile ilgili 1992 yılından günümüze kadar yayınlanan makalelerin bibliyometrik analizi ve yayın eğilimlerinin değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Gelecekte bu tür bibliyometrik analizler yapılarak bu alanın gelişimi takip edilebilir.

A bibliometric analysis in the literature on distraction osteogenesis applied in the oral and maxillofacial regions (1992--2020)
Abstract
Background: Many bone defects in the maxillofacial region can be reconstructed with distraction osteogenesis (DO). In the last thirty years, a great deal of research has been done for the development of the DO protocol. The purpose of this study was to perform a bibliometric analysis for the characterization of publications on distraction osteogenesis in the maxillofacial region from 1992 to 2021.
Material and Methods: Publication outputs were obtained from the Web of Science database on January 15, 2021. Citespace, Excel, and VOSviewer software were used in analysis and visualizations
Results: A sum of 1826 publications from 1992 to 2020 were analyzed. A total of 59 countries contributed to the DO literature. The United States had the most publications and the highest H-index. McCarthy JG was the highest co-citation author. Studies were gathered under 12 titles in general.
Conclusion: As a result, in this study, a bibliometric analysis of the articles on distraction osteogenesis in oral and maxillofacial surgery published from 1992 to the present and evaluation of publication trends were made. In the future, the development of this field can be followed by making such bibliometric analyzes.
